Oh, the joys of modern technology. Everyone is shooting in portrait these days because of these pesky phones. But it gives me a good excuse to repurpose this old video and stick this track that is still pretty meaningful to me on Bandcamp. I filmed it at Devils Dyke after leaving the hospital where I’d spent a good chunk of the previous week convinced that it was game over. The paraglider taking flight was proof that I was wrong. Seeing something life-affirming, something new. Not a hospital ward. Gold Locks and Holograms is quite an old track now, a guitar track no less. I seem to have gone synth crazy for a little while over here, but the guitar is my home, my old profession. I was mucking about with a Gold Top through a Hologram Infinite Jets and a Strymon Big Sky and suddenly some sort of heavenly choir of angels started singing to me and gifting me a soundtrack of salvation, redemption and serendipity, all wrapped up in luck. I'm alive. And this is the proof.
